With today’s Leo Moon making every major aspect to four different planets and Uranus stationing retrograde, today makes for an actively engaging experience on multiple levels. On one hand we are massaging the exuberance of our playful hearts, while on the other hand we are grappling with the feasibility of sustaining the lifestyle and values we have become so comfortable and protective of. Do we know how to make lifestyle changes that fill in the deep grooves we have carved into our lives over the years? Is what we value and prioritize sincerely worth the merit and weight we put upon them? 

Uranus wants to improve, speed up, and enlighten everything it touches. It wants to raise our consciousness, elevate our perspectives, and build unity and community through its high frequency influences. So we are about to spend the next six months reconsidering the consciousness and kinds of perspectives we want to embrace in our future, and what kind of community we want to participate in and grow more active within. The elevation of our values and sustainability are at stake. How we decide to grow or not has a lot to do with this dawning window of time.

The mutability of today’s processes begs we consider the value of making something better in our lives. Hard work is calling to us from our lucid future summits, and we must heed the call and begin our ascent to that glorious mountaintop of revelation. What we cannot see should not dissuade us from envisioning what we want to see. Nothing good comes easy anyway, so we might as well recognize the rewards lying dormant in the hard work we are about to put into our health, our service to others, our selfless acts of sacrifice, and the overarching refinement that is necessary in certain areas of our lifestyle.

All New Moons are powerful moments, but this is an especially unique and powerful lunation because of the simultaneous Mars-Neptune square in mutable signs. This can rub many of us the wrong way. The resistance is creating so much friction that it can burn up the coils of our internal mechanisms and leave us completely overwhelmed, exhausted, angry, and even threaten our physical and mental health. We must be mindful of our adrenal glands around this time. Do we know how to cope with the stresses seemingly piling up all around us? Cooling our jets in some ocean or lake water can help calm the frenzy within and restore some balance and harmony, but not before we are wrung through the ringer in some fashion or another. 

On this New Moon, we are focusing on change and what that means to us. Does it frighten us? Depress us? Excite us? Do we loathe the thought of changing anything in our lives? Change does not have to be scary or loathsome, even though it appears that way at first. We must begin to recognize the natural subterranean forces at work beneath the surface of our lives and know that they are on our side and not enemies of our state. Let’s improve something in our lives, and in doing so understand how much better so many things will be because of that!

The continuation of shucking what we do not need anymore prevails again today. Doing the right thing resounds across the sea to the entire world today like a great bell of the Atlantic. Doing wrong is quickly noticed, called out, and abandoned in favor of what is best. Ethics and morals are like characters interacting with our thoughts. The foundations we felt were so solid and unmovable for so long are rolling and shifting beneath us like an earthquake in our souls. We must find solid footing, reliable methods, and choice companionship to jump over the hurdles that our ahead of us in our lane.

Part of these experiences includes the struggle to unwind how attached we are to our past and sense of familiarity and security. Even though they may not be good for us, what we have loved is not easy to part with, and those kinds of attachments are very likely front and center today. It can seem like the Great Reveal is afoot, revealing the loves and woes and all their complex interconnected tentacles that envelope us in knots of confusion and exhaustion. But fear not! What we are noticing is perhaps our first step towards taking action. Revelations do not come all at once for everyone just because of certain transits. Take what comes in stride and with forgiveness and patience. We have time to make our changes gracefully.

The cleansing of our lives is removing the stains left from years of residual chaos, addiction, escapism, and neglect. Our values, divinity, limitations, and inner angst are all sitting around the table discussing exactly what brought us all to this table. Can the master of ceremonies convey their message clearly enough to get it through the thick skulls of these sacred characters so that commitment and dedication begin to take hold in the direction we should be going? How does a fleeting Virgo Moon command so much respect and power to push their agenda as succinctly and eloquently as possible? Primarily with reason, evidence, and clarity, but also with its enormous magnetic influence upon our lives here on Earth.

Even if we do not embrace the full potential of this grand cleansing, something deep within is discovering an elevation of possibility and potential. So we can rest assured progress is very likely being made, at the very least in the more subtle frequencies of our souls, even if we resist outward evidence of mutability. Mars imbues us with a greater need for security and protection as it slips into Cancer this evening. Even though it may seem stalled and stifled in Cancer, it is actually still driven and determined to get what it is after, and here it is ready to process our emotional experiences by facing them and feeling them instead of hiding from them or trying to explain them away. It is also after more safety and comfort, which often requires healthy changes and new attitudes and perspectives.

This is a sweet relief day for some loving harmonies, even with some lingering aspects applying and separating. We should make the most of days like this by hopefully being able to destress, unwind, and take in some much needed relaxation. If we do have a lot to do, at least we should be able to accomplish those things with some ease and grace. If any pompous know-it-all tries to thwart our chill vibes, we should be able to quell the situation with love and calmness by telling them we have it under control. And if they still insist upon their ways, we can always just hand it over. What is the worst that can happen, anyway? If we feel any desire to meet someone new, or have had eyes for someone in particular, this might be a good day to drum up the courage to introduce ourselves and suggest a date.

The harmonious trend continues today, at least for most of it. We should expect some opportunities to surface, especially if we have been waiting for something to feel right and speak to us when it was ready for us. There is a heavy tendency for reflecting upon how important other people are to us in securing our healing and triumph at this time. Are we aware of how valuable companionship can be? Maybe we have a bit to learn from others still before we are ready to embark upon our next phase alone. At any rate, there is an ample abundance of conversation that could change our course today. Are we ready to dissect and decipher whether or not we are willing to take the risks proposed? We are surely going to know what the best decision is if we listen carefully to our feelings. Anything that feels like agitation or frustration should be a signal to back off.

The evening could herald this agitation separately from the risks we are pondering taking, but perhaps it is wise to reconsider if we waited too long to determine our next chess move. We are feeling a desire to burst forth and dance the rounds with friends through the streets and fields, but we are also feeling resistance from the rebellious and stubborn misfit inside us who just does not want to be seen or noticed so much tonight. It may be best to keep to a modest huddle to talk about future plans, exciting ideas, and magical greener pastures that await us over the hills and far away.

The depths are beginning to be plumbed again today. We can feel a force from deep within us that wants to make headway working on our emotional and psychological pains and traumas. There can be a desire to talk very intimately with someone special who has our confidence, but we should be very aware that we are likely not the only ones who need or want to talk about the shadowy realms of our psyche. We should be prepared to listen to someone else’s intimate life, too. This process, as difficult and painful as it almost always is, inevitably helps bring us closer to understanding ourselves through examining what we have survived and suffered through. And how those experiences affected decisions we made in the past can shine a life-changing beacon of light upon everything that led us up to today. May we travel through these shadows hand-in-hand with love and compassion.
